Speaking gigs

It’s pretty exciting that we are regularly being asked to either speak at or write about our work. Here are a few recent examples:

• A story on our work went to every delegate at a conference on Asset Based Community Development held in Canberra in August 2019.
• Rachel Howard presented the story of the Scullin Traders at the Festival of Ambitious Ideas in July 2019.
• Sue White spoke to a leadership delegation from the Ballarat Region in October 2019. As a result, there’s already been one Victorian program that began citing Scullin Community Group and the Scullin Traders as their inspiration.

Awards

In 2020 Scullin Community Group co-founder, Sue White, was honoured to be nominated as a Community Award finalist in the Do Good Awards from Service One/Alliance Bank.   Sue was also a Westfield Local Hero finalist in 2019.
