Belcolaylee is back for a Winter Season!

WHERE: Humpy Hall
WHEN: Fridays 6-7pm @ Humpy Hall Frewin Place Scullin

FACILITATOR: Alison from The Cashews

Ever wished you had a chance to hang out and make music? Ever wished you could play music in the first place? Come and join us at Belcolaylee – all are welcome. BYO uke, borrow one of ours, play air-uke and sing along, or even just walk past to check us out from a distance if you prefer. It’s low key and sometimes it’s even in key. Actual musicians are welcome too – we don’t discriminate against people with talent. All ages and instruments/voices welcome.

(With thanks to Australia Post for the support of a Connecting Community Grant)

This is a COVID-safe event, so register via the link (numbers are limited), bring your healthy self, check in on the app when you arrive and sanitise, sanitise, sanitise…. (hmmm, maybe we need a song for that 🤔)

Craft Group at Humpy Hall

Come along to our (almost) weekly Crafternoon gatherings! (Every week except the 3rd Sat of the month.) The hall booking is paid for by the Scullin Community Group but you DON’T need to live in Scullin to join – all suburbs, all ages welcome.
NOTE: Timings are 4pm to 6pm.
We will spread out in the warmth of Humpy Hall. BYO current personal craft project (anything you are working on).
Even if you don’t have a current project, or are new to craft – come along! It’s a friendly group and we will share our knowledge as we get to know each other and familiarise ourselves with different crafting techniques.
Over time we will start some group projects and start teaching each other new skills.
There’s a kettle and small kitchen in the hall – please BYO tea stuff while we get organised to have stuff stored for the group over time.
The hall IS warm and there are tables and chairs we can use. As the weather warms up we can sit outside or on the covered back veranda if we prefer.
There’s a small playground out the back of the fenced yard if you have young kids.
Craft Group dates:
November 6,13 & 27
December 4 & 11

Planting Bee at Scullin Shops

Come and join us for a planting bee and celebratory BBQ at the Scullin shops

Saturday, 26 June 2021

10am – 12pm

The ugly bitumen has been removed from the garden beds in the shops courtyard and this event will introduce our new plants – tough strappy plants, rich dark green shrubs that flower year-round, and bright flowering groundcovers that flower constantly.

Simply bring along your sun-protection, gloves, hand tools, and shovels – there will be some minor digging.

Water and snacks will be provided.

After we complete the plantings, we’ll celebrate all that we’ve achieved over the past year with a free BBQ. Everyone is welcome.
